Missing catalogs for existing designs where that version has been removed from the database, can now be quickly installed. For example:
- If you have previous versions of catalogs downloaded in the office and create a design with these catalogs, and later open the project in a different location where the catalogs are not available.
- You have deleted old catalogs to save on diskspace.
IMPORTANT!: The catalog must be available on your account to download and install a version of it.
How to install missing versions
- When a plan which uses a missing catalog is accessed, you will be prompted with the question that a catalog used in the alternative now has a newer version of the catalog installed, and if you want to change the catalogs for the alternative:
Click Yes to make a change in the Change catalog window.
- With this new feature you will now be given the option to Install missing catalogs in the Change catalog window.
- You can decide to click Change to update the alternative to the latest catalog version, or click Install missing catalogs to download all catalogs required for the alternative, as long as you have an existing agreement to use the missing catalog.
- Click Install missing catalogs.
- When Install missing catalogs is clicked, you will be able to select which missing catalogs to install. Ensure the relevant catalogs are ticked and click Download.
The Operation progress of downloading the selected catalogs will begin.
- Once the download is completed, view the Catalog Information as needed and click Close.
Index settings

If using the Flex platform, the indexes of all old catalogs installed as above will get the last confirmed indexes before they were removed from the database. In this case, the alternative will be ready to use with the old catalog immediately.

If the index settings are not stored in the cloud, for example if the alternative was created using Winner Design (legacy), you will need to set the indexes for the old catalogs in the same way as a new catalog installation. See Catalog indexes for more information.
In the Registered catalogs window, you will need to tick Show all revisions to see older catalog versions.
- If you install a missing catalog, the indexes from the current project will be applied to this catalog.
It is important to ensure that the index settings are correct to what you expect. Take time to check the index settings if in doubt.
Remember: For new projects, you still have to ensure that the correct index settings are set on the catalog.
Users of the Catalog Management extension (CMC)
If you are using Catalog Management, your administrator will have control of catalog access.
In this case, you can only download authorised catalogs at Project level.
- Click Register in the menu bar and select Download catalogs / updates...
- In the Choose what to download screen window, ensure Show old revisions is ticked before searching for the required catalog.
