In Winner, some catalogue suppliers use a Block calculation to apply special discounts to certain groups of products. Users who use products from a catalogue supplier which offers Block calculation discounts should contact their catalogue supplier to determine which, if any, Block calculation discounts are accessible to them. Then users should contact our Support Team to request access to the applicable Block calculation discounts, which once available are downloaded as catalogue updates.

Applying a Block calculation to a quotation
At Alternative level:
- Select Alternative > Block calculation.
- In the Block calculation window, users can select the desired block discount to apply and adjust other settings for its application.
- To apply the selected block discount, click OK.
Note: The applied discount will now be visible in the Quotation setup window.

- The Block definitions section shows the blocks for the selected catalogue in further detail. Click to select the desired block discount for the quotation.
Note: Winner will automatically highlight the block with the lowest cost price by default. To adjust this, see How to adjust block calculation defaults. - The Selected block section shows the product groups within the selected block which have discounts applied to them.
Note: For more information, see How is the block calculation structured? - Discount totals and Quotation totals shows a summary of the figures.
Note: The difference between the Block price and the Maximum block discount is shown under Discount totals, in the Unused block discount field. This sum can be used to order additional articles from the catalogue supplier.
Click the Block discount drop-down to select how the discount will be applied.
- The Calculation basis allows the user to select Sales, Purchase or Point prices.
Selecting one of these will affect the information shown in the Block definitions section, for example selecting Shoe purchase prices the Cost difference column will now be visible.
Block calculation in Quotation setup
A Block calculation discount that the user has applied to their quotation will be visible in the Quotation setup window.
At Alternative level:
- Select Alternative > Quotation setup/summary.
- In the Quotation setup window, select the Key figures tab.
- Under the Key figures tab, the applied block calculation discount will be visible in the Block discount section, with the selected block discount shown in the Sales block field.
