Migrating legacy projects to the Flex Project Archive enables you to centralise project data, streamline access, and ensure continuity across Winner Design and Winner Flex platforms. The process covers uploading projects, importing them into Flex, and handling archived and unarchived projects.
Uploading Projects to Flex Project Archive
- Open Winner Flex and close the project list then select Project in the top toolbar.
- Select the Upload to Flex Archive option.
- The local Project list opens.
- Select the projects you wish to upload.
- Use the Select All keyboard shortcut to quickly mark all projects.
- Multiple selection is possible using ctrl + select.
- Click Upload Selected to start the upload process.
- Uploaded projects are flagged as archived in the local database and disappear from the project list.
- Limit uploads to 500 projects at once.
- The shop ID is written to the project database to ensure correct shop association.
Handling Archived and Unarchived Projects
- Projects uploaded to the online archive are flagged as archived locally and removed from the local project list.
- If a project is unarchived in the local database (via Winner Design), it becomes available for re-upload.
- Incomplete or corrupted uploads are displayed in an error window, take corrective action in Winner Design as described in the error message.
Importing Projects from Flex Project Archive
- In Winner Flex, select Project > Import > Flex Project Archive from the top toolbar.
- The Flex Cloud page opens, showing projects uploaded with the currently selected shop.
- Select a project to import or migrate (single selection only).
- In the top tool bar select Import Project or Migrate Project. Imported or migrated projects receive the imported to Flex attribute and disappear from the list.
Note: If a project number already exists in Flex Cloud, you cannot use the migrate option. Here you will need to import and a different project number will be given to the project.
Additional information
- Ensure you have the correct permissions to upload and import projects.
- Limit uploads to 500 projects at a time for optimal performance.
- Use the Select All button to avoid manual selection.
- If uploads are incomplete or corrupted, review the project list, make changes in Winner Design, and retry as needed.
