This Winner Flex feature will allow the functionality of a Winner Design server installation and ensure that all users are on the same version of software and catalog.
The admin user with the correct user rights will download and install an update. This version is stored on the Flex platform and will be shared with all other users.
The latest version available can be seen in Winner info on the Winner Flex tab. Here you can also see the options to disable this feature. To access Winner info: from the desktop app click Help on the menu bar select About Winner Flex and click on the Winner Info button at the bottom left.
Software updates
On the startup of Flex the following validation will be performed:
Current installed version < "Older" than the approved program version (in Winner info) = Yes
Then the software will start downloading the latest hotfix for the version that has been approved and is on the download server.

Important notes:

Restoring last version: After the administrator has restored to the last version, installations that have not been updated will not trigger the automatic download. If the latest version has already been downloaded prior to restoring to the last version the installation will still go ahead when you start Flex again. These will need to be restored manually.
- In the case that the download server has a newer hotfix than the Approved program version the user will get the latest hotfix.
- In the case that the download server has a newer version than the Approved program version the user will not get the latest version.
- Users without the rights to download or install will still be automatically updated.
Catalog updates
On the startup of Flex the following validation will be performed:
Compare current installed catalog versions with the list of approved catalogs and the list of available catalogs on the download server > Catalogs approved, that are not installed yet but available on the catalog server are downloaded
Important notes:
- In the case of a catalog fix that is published under the same file name, it will be deployed to all installations even if the admin has not downloaded or approved the update.

If you use CMC to manage catalogs: When Winner Flex detects that the CMC extension is active for your account this process is disabled.
- Catalog updates are installed silently when the catalog has a new file name.
- Catalog updates with the same file name will not be installed silently.
