You can add tiles manually to walls using the Free drawing of tiles tool. This is useful when you only want a specific area of tiles on a wall. If you want all walls tiled see Room Properties. If you want tiles above all the worktops see the Tiles above worktop section of the article Drawing settings to set them up at the start of an alternative. To set them up once an alternative has been started see the article Tiles over worktop.
To Add Tiles

Click on the Furnishing mode icon in the Toolbar

Place the Cursor next to the wall you want to add tiles.

Click on the Front elevation window and select Free drawing of tiles icon in the Toolbar.

By default the Rectangle drawing tool is selected.
To draw a custom shape, select the pencil without the rectangle -
Draw the shape needed on the selected wall.

If you have not defined materials for tiles, you will receive a message reminding you to select a material. Click OK.

In the Assign material to surface window, click on Select materials and select the desired material / colour / size in the tiles section and click OK.
Note: Any tile with a paint palette image on it means the colour can be overridden.
Important: Tiles above worktop is enabled automatically when a material is added. To turn this off open the Drawing settings (press F7 on your keyboard or click Alternative > Settings on the menu bar). In the Drawing settings window, go to the Tiles above worktop in the bottom left corner and untick Automatic calculation. -
The tiles will now appear on the indicated surface.
To edit the tile area
To edit the position/size of the drawn tiled surface, select the Free drawing of tiles again and choose the black mouse cursor
To delete the tile area

Click on the Front elevation window and select Free drawing of tiles icon in the Toolbar.
- Click on the Select tool function:
- Click the tile area you wish to delete and right click on them and select Delete
OR
Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
