CMC: How can I create my own catalogue using CMC

1. At Project level, click on Additional modules in the Menu bar and select Catalogue customisation.  
   
   
2. In the Catalogue customisation window, click on Catalogue in the menu bar and select New.
   
   
3. In the New catalogue window, enter the name for your catalogue and click OK.
   
   

You will need to enter at least one Product group with at least one Model.

1. In the Catalogue customisation window, click to highlight your catalogue in the list.  
   
   
2. Click the Groups/Models button on the right-hand side.
   
   
3. In the Groups/Models window click on the Product groups tab and select Add group. 
   
   
4. In the New product group window enter the name for the product group and click OK.
   The named product group will now appear in the Product groups drop-down.
   
   
5. Click Products groups on the menu bar and select Group properties.
   
   
   
   
6. In the Product group properties window you can rename the Product group, and set the price group and price index.
   Note: Ticking the Don't enter order/quotation head will mean that the catalogue will not appear in the printout header.  Click OK when you have entered the required data.
   
   
7. Click the Models tab and select Add Model.
   
   
8. In the New model window enter the name for the Model and click OK.
   
   
9. The Model properties window will automatically appear.  Check the details of the name, the name on printouts and the pricing details and click OK.  
   
   
   
   
10. Click Close, to return to the Catalogue customisation window.
    
    

1. In the Catalogue customisation window, click to highlight your catalogue in the list.
   
   
2. Click the Products button on the right-hand side.
   
   
3. The Products window will currently be named [No products].  You will define your products in this window.
   
   
4. The mandatory fields to enter to define your product are Code and Drawing type:
   
   Code - The product code needs to be unique.  
   Drawing type - this is set to None as default.  Select a drawing type from the drop-down box.
   
   Note - If you are creating a worktop catalogue, at least one product needs to be defined as Drawing type Worktop.
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. The calculation fields on the right are needed for your quotation. Enter the information you require.
   NOTE: If the unit is calculated in metres, for example a worktop, you should select Calculation and in the dialog Quantity calculation the Equation will be L. For square metres the Equation should be set as L*D. 
   
   
6. Enter the price of the unit in the Price group field at the bottom of the window.  If you have multiple price groups, first select the relevant price group in the Prices section above.
   
   
   
   
7. Click the Save button before moving to a new product.
   
   
8. To enter another new product, click the forward arrow key at the top left.  
   
   
9. Once you have finished entering your products click OK.

After creating the catalogue, you are able to proceed with the price settings and customisations for it.

This instructs you on using the Quick process.  However in some cases it is not possible to use the Quick process function when settings the conditions of a catalogue using CMC. For example when you have multiple shops with different conditions or certain catalogues that do not allow the use of Quick process.   In these instances see article:

You have now completed the creation of your own catalogue and can publish it when you are ready.
