In Winner, some catalog suppliers use a Block calculation to apply special discounts to certain groups of products. If you cannot access the block data try the following solutions:
Check if blocks are imported to the catalog
If the menu option Block Calculations is greyed out on the Alternative menu, this means no blocks are available.
To check if blocks are installed or not:
- At project level, click on Register > Catalogs
- Select the catalog and click on the Blocks button at the bottom right.
Here you can see the blocks listed. If the Blocks button is greyed out there are no blocks for this catalog and therefore no block calculation is possible. - If you believe you should have blocks data available, then:
- Check your download and updates to see if there is an update to do for the catalog for more information click here.
- If there is no update available:
- Users should contact their catalog supplier to determine which, if any, Block calculation discounts are accessible to them.
- Once confirmed that you have access from the manufacturer, users should contact their local Compusoft Support team, via the Support Centre (chat or raise a ticket), to request access to the applicable Block calculation discounts. Once they are added to your account, they are available by downloading them as catalog updates. See article How to download catalogs and updates.
Check if the blocks are up to date
This can be done at project level or at alternative level:
At project level
- Click on Register > Catalogs
- Select the catalog and click on the Blocks button at the bottom right.
- Check the valid from and valid until dates.
At alternative level:
- Click on Alternative > Block calculation.
- The validation dates will be found at the top right of the window.
Note: There is an option to Show expired/invalid blocks. This can be ticked or unticked to fit your search.
Check the block calculation catalog is the main catalog in the alternative
At alternative level:
Click on Alternative > Settings (or press F7 on your keyboard).
The catalog at the top of the list has to be the one with the block calculation. If it is not, a change catalog must be done. For instructions on how to do this click here.
Check that all furnishing elements are from the same catalog version
To check this at Alternative level:
- Press F7 on your keyboard OR
- Click Alternative.
- Select Settings.
- In the listed catalogs check if there are two versions of the catalog, replace the respective article(s) with one(s) from the current catalog version.
Check if the block file has been imported as a core selection
At project level
- Click on Register > Catalogs
- If a file is listed under the Coreselection column it would have to be deleted. For Winner Design customers more information on how to do this is in article How to delete core selections manually without CMC
- Winner Flex customers need to contact support to have the core selection deleted.
