In Winner you can change the main catalogue of a drawn alternative. For example, you may want to update the contents of your plan from an old version of a catalogue to the latest version available, or you may have changed your mind about the catalogue you want to use.
Note: When you have downloaded a newer version of a catalogue and then access a plan with an old version being used, you will be prompted to update the contents to the latest version. If you select No and then change your mind later, you can follow the steps listed below.
Follow the instructions below to change the catalogue of an alternative:

When in a drawing, click Alternative from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Select Change catalogues from the list. You may be advised to save the alternative before proceeding. Enter your choice to continue.
- In the Change catalogue from: window, select the catalogue to change from and click Change.
- In the Change catalogue window, choose which options to show:
● Only similar catalogues
● All catalogues
Note: You can tick Old catalogues versions also in case you wanted to revert to an older catalogue. -
Choose the catalogue which you want to change to and click OK.

In the Select Codes Window, you will now have a list of all the codes currently used in the drawing.
The codes in the New code column will replace the Original code column.
You can select a specific line and choose Select new code or Keep original code if required:
● Clicking Select new code will prompt you to choose a new code from the Select product window of the catalogue you intend to use. Once selected, click OK.
● Clicking Keep original code will enter "Keep original code and supplier" in the New code column for the specific line. - Click OK to transfer from the original codes to the new codes.
Click Yes if asked, One or more codes will not be replaced Start changing anyway?
Note: if you have changed to a different catalogue the Select model window will appear for you choose for example colours and handles. - In the Change catalogue from: window, you can continue to change other catalogues used in the drawing, or click Close to finalise your changes.
- Press F7 on your keyboard or go to Alternative > Settings.
- In the Drawing settings window check the selections made. Make the required changes if necessary, for example Change Model and click OK.
Note: From Winner version 12.2a3, missing and old catalogues for existing designs where that version has been removed from the database previously, can now be quickly installed. See article Installing missing or old catalogues for existing plans for more information.
