Missing catalogues for existing designs where that version has been removed from the database, can now be quickly installed. For example:
- If you have previous versions of catalogues downloaded in the office and create a design with these catalogues, and later open the project in a different location where the catalogues are not available.
- You have deleted old catalogues to save on diskspace.
IMPORTANT!: The catalogue must be available on your account to download and install a version of it.
How to install missing versions
- When a plan which uses a missing catalogue is accessed, you will be prompted with the question that a catalogue used in the alternative now has a newer version of the catalogue installed, and if you want to change the catalogues for the alternative:
Click Yes to make a change in the Change catalogue window.
- With this new feature you will now be given the option to Install missing catalogues in the Change catalogue window.
- You can decide to click Change to update the alternative to the latest catalogue version, or click Install missing catalogues to download all catalogues required for the alternative, as long as you have an existing agreement to use the missing catalogue.
- Click Install missing catalogues.
- When Install missing catalogues is clicked, you will be able to select which missing catalogues to install. Ensure the relevant catalogues are ticked and click Download.
The Operation progress of downloading the selected catalogues will begin.
- Once the download is completed, view the Catalogue Information as needed and click Close.
Index settings

If using the Flex platform, the indexes of all old catalogues installed as above will get the last confirmed indexes before they were removed from the database. In this case, the alternative will be ready to use with the old catalogue immediately.

If the index settings are not stored in the cloud, for example if the alternative was created using Winner Design (legacy), you will need to set the indexes for the old catalogues in the same way as a new catalogue installation. See Catalogue indexes for more information.
In the Registered catalogues window, you will need to tick Show all revisions to see older catalogue versions.
- If you install a missing catalogue, the indexes from the current project will be applied to this catalogue.
It is important to ensure that the index settings are correct to what you expect. Take time to check the index settings if in doubt.
Remember: For new projects, you still have to ensure that the correct index settings are set on the catalogue.
Users of the Catalogue Management extension (CMC)
If you are using Catalogue Management, your administrator will have control of catalogue access.
In this case, you can only download authorised catalogues at Project level.
- Click Register in the menu bar and select Download catalogues / updates...
- In the Choose what to download screen window, ensure Show old revisions is ticked before searching for the required catalogue.
