Importing an alternative from one project into another

Sometimes you may want to import an existing alternative from one project into another. This is possible in Winner and Winner Flex. 

In Winner 

1. Open the project you want to import the existing alternative into.
   
   
2. At Project level, click Alternative on the menu bar.
   
   
3. Select Import > Alternative from local database.
   
   
4. This opens the Project List, select the project that contains an alternative you wish to import, then select the alternative under the Milieu section.
   
   
5. Click Open.
   
   
6. Winner will give the imported alternative a default name, to replace this type the new name into the Alternative name box, then click OK.
   
   You will now see the imported alternative in your list.

In Winner Flex

1. Open the project you want to import the existing alternative into.
   
   
2. At Project level, click Alternative on the menu bar.
   
   
3. Select Import. You now have a choice of selecting:
   Alternative from local database for Winner legacy alternatives and manually saved backups stored on your computer or server or:
   Alternative from Flex database for Winner Flex alternatives stored in the Cloud.
   
   
4. This opens the relevant Project List, select the project that contains an alternative you wish to import, then select the alternative under the Milieu section.
   Note: there is a sub-folder within the project folder for manual local backups. See article Automatic local backup of alternatives .DRW    for more information.
   
   
5. Click Open.
   
   
6. Winner Flex will give the imported alternative a default name, to replace this, type the new name in the Alternative name box, then click OK.
   
   You will now see the imported alternative in your list.
