Sometimes you may want to import an existing design from one project into another. This is possible in Winner and Winner Flex.
In Winner
- Open the project you want to import the existing alternative into.
- At Project level, click Design on the menu bar.
- Select Import > Design from local database.
- This opens the Project List, select the project that contains an alternative you wish to import, then select the alternative under the Space section.
- Click Open.
- Winner will give the imported alternative a default name, to replace this type the new name into the Design name box, then click OK.
You will now see the imported alternative in your list.
In Winner Flex
- Open the project you want to import the existing alternative into.
- At Project level, click Design on the menu bar.
- Select Import. You now have a choice of selecting:
Design from local database for Winner legacy designs and manually saved backups stored on your computer or server or:
Design from Flex database for Winner Flex designs stored in the Cloud.
- This opens the relevant Project List, select the project that contains an alternative you wish to import, then select the alternative under the Space section.
Note: there is a sub-folder within the project folder for manual local backups. See article Automatic local backup of designs .DRW for more information.
- Click Open.
- Winner Flex will give the imported alternative a default name, to replace this, type the new name in the Design name box, then click OK.
You will now see the imported design in your list.
