To change the surface of your floor in a design you use the Assign material to surface window. This allows you to change the colour and material of the flooring. You can change almost all surface colours in Winner Design from walls and floors to furniture and decoration. See also Room surface decors and Assign material to surface.
The Assign material to surface window can be accessed by clicking the Edit colour settings for room and objects icon in the tool bar:
Alternatively you can press the F9 key on your keyboard.
Select Floor in the list by left-clicking it.
1. To change the material
- Click the Select material button.
- Using the folders in Material choice window, select the material you require and click OK.
Note: The colour can be changed on any material that has a yellow artist's palette on it. Different flooring layouts, for example herringbone, can be found under Parquet > Pattern folder.
- The material will now update in the Preview list.
- Click OK to confirm all changes and return to the design.
2. To change the colour
- In the Override colour section click the Select button.
- Select the colour you require from the palette. (See override colour below).
- Click OK to confirm your colour change.
- The colour will now update in the Preview list.
- Click OK to confirm all changes and return to the design.
Override colour
When choosing a colour from the Override colour window, you can switch tabs for alternative palettes. They include:
Catalogue - The first tab will be the main catalogue of the design you are working in. This gives you the option to choose colours that are used by the manufacturer.
Other tabs - NCS, RGB, CMYK, RAL Design System & RAL Classic.
