Sometimes customers want to have more than one type or color of ceiling molding/baseboard molding in the same room. This article shows you how to achieve this. The example below is for baseboard molding but the steps are the same for ceiling molding.
Creating a New Baseboard Molding Option
- Press F7 on your keyboard to open the Drawing settings.
- Click on the Ceiling molding/Baseboard molding tab.
- On the Baseboard molding, Standard drop-down, select New from the list.
- This will now create an Option 1 in the list.
- Make the changes along that row as required.
- Choose a new colour for this option by clicking the Edit colour settings for room and objects icon For more information on this see the article Assign material to surface.
- Click OK to confirm your choices.
- Click OK again to save the changes.
Using the New Baseboard Molding on Walls
- Ensure you are in Room Definition mode
- Select the wall you want to change the baseboard molding on.
- Right click and select Wall properties.
- In the Baseboard molding drop-down change from Auto to your new option number.
- Click OK.
- Repeat these steps for more Baseboard molding options.
