Flex: How to delete or restore a project or design(s) on the platform

IMPORTANT: Soft deleting a project does not make the project number available again.  Open the Flex platform, either via a browser or from within the desktop program.
 

1. Click the Projects icon on the left hand menu bar.
    
2. Find and select the project to be deleted.
   Note: Select multiple projects using the check box in the Project list and ctrl + multiselect on the Project board.
3. Click on the Delete Project icon in the top tool bar:
   Note: If the project has a status of quotation sent against a design you cannot delete the project until the design is set to lost or the quotation deleted. 
   Note: If the project is locked by a user, you will not be able to delete the project until it is unlocked. 
    
4. Confirm the decision by clicking Delete.
    

From version 12.5a2 onwards you can permanently delete a project, this will make the project number available again.  However you will not be able to restore the project.
IMPORTANT: Due to compliance and legal reasons, projects and designs that are sold or have associated invoices will not have this option available.
In these cases you will see the below error message. 

1. Click the Projects icon on the left hand menu bar.
    
2. Find and select the project to be deleted.

3. Click on the Delete Project icon in the top tool bar:
   Note: If the project has a status of quotation sent against a design you cannot delete the project until the design is set to lost or the quotation deleted. 
   Note: If the project is locked by a user, you will not be able to delete the project until it is unlocked.
    
4. Confirm the decision by clicking Delete.
    
5. Click the More options icon    on the top toolbar and select Restore projects and designs.  This will list all soft deleted projects.
    
6. To permanently delete one, select it in the list and click Delete Permanently at the bottom of the window.

2. Click the More options icon    on the top toolbar and select Restore projects and designs.  This will list all soft deleted projects.
    
3. Click to select one project or tick the boxes to select several.
    
4. Click the Restore button at the bottom of the window.
    
5. Confirm by clicking Restore.
    
6. The project(s), and all designs within it, will be restored.

1. In the Flex platform click on the Projects tab.
    
2. Select the Project containing the design you wish to restore.
    
3. Open the Project sidebar by clicking on
    
4. Click the more options icon at the top right of the sidebar.
    
5. Select Restore designs.
    
6. If there is more than one listed, search can be used to locate the design.
    
7. Click to select one design or tick the boxes to select several.
    
8. Click the Restore button and click it a second time to confirm.
   The design(s), will be restored to their original project.
