CMC: Adding new codes to core selections

Using CMC you can import your own codes and prices into a catalogue of your choice.
Note: You need to have imported a core selection to the catalogue before adding new codes.
 

Before starting the import process

You will need a spreadsheet with the data to be imported.  This will consist of 4 columns - code, description, buying price, selling price.  This will be copied and pasted later in the process.

 

The import process

  1. At project level click Additional Modules and select Catalogue customisation.
     
  2. Double click the catalogue you wish to add new codes to.
     
  3. In the catalogue customisations window click New and select 3 - Core selection customisation.

  4. In the Customisation properties window give your customisation a name.  This will help you identify which group of codes you are adding into the catalogue.
     
  5. Click OK, this opens the Core selection (add new codes) window.
     
  6. Go to your spreadsheet containing the data you want importing select all cells with data in and use keyboard shortcut Ctrl and C to copy it.
     
  7. Return to Core selection (add new codes) window.  Click on Core selection in the top menu bar and select Get from clipboard.
     
  8. This opens the Import core selection window, here you can set what product, search and item group you want your new codes to apply to.
     
  9. Click OK.
     
  10. You will now see all your new codes have been added into the list for your catalogue.
     
  11. Click OK.
     
  12. Select your new customisation and click Ready for publishing.


     
  13. Click Close to finish customising your catalogue.
