The first process involved in using CMC is for the administrator to download and install the catalogues to the CMC database. Note: The first user to publish a catalogue is automatically assigned the CMC admin role. They will be responsible for all the customisations made on a catalogue and must use the same computer when customising catalogues. We recommend choosing your CMC administrator carefully as once this is done it cannot be changed without contacting your Cyncly support team.
See how to do this in the video or follow the steps below.
At Project level:
- Click on Additional modules in the Menu bar and select Catalogue customisation
- In the Catalogue customisation window, click the Download button on the right hand side.
- In the Choose what to download window, select your catalogues as required and click Download.
Note: Some catalogues may be preselected which indicates you either haven't downloaded them before or that there are updates. If you want to specify what to download click the Reset button then select the required catalogue(s) and click Download.
- Click OK to continue.
The download progress will be visible in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
- After Download completed is shown in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, click the button Install downloaded. This will install the catalogues into the customisations database.
- Dependent on the catalogue a catalogue information screen may appear, once you have read it click Close.
- The catalogues will now feature in the Catalogue customisation list.
- If at anytime you see a pop up asking you to export catalogue information, click Yes/OK.
