Adding multiple coving or skirting board to the same room

Sometimes customers want to have more than one type or colour of coving and skirting board in the same room.  This article shows you how to achieve this.  The example below is for skirting but the steps are the same for coving.

Creating a new skirting board option

1. Press F7 on your keyboard to open the Drawing settings.
    
2. Click on the Coving/Skirting tab.
    
3. On the Skirting, Standard drop-down, select New from the list.
    
4. This will now create an Option 1 in the list.
    
5. Make the changes along that row as required. 
6. Choose a new colour for this skirting by clicking the Edit colour settings for room and objects icon   For more information on this see the article Assign material to surface.

7. Click OK to confirm your choices.
    
8. Click OK again to save the changes.
    

Using the new skirting board on the walls

1. Ensure you are in Room Definition mode
    
2. Select the wall you want to change the skirting on.
    
3. Right click and select Wall properties.
    
4. In the Skirting dropdown change from Auto to your new option number.
    
5. Click OK.
    
6. Repeat these steps for more Skirting options.
