Follow the instructions below to add a roof lantern (also known as a raised skylight or glazed roof structure) into a ceiling.
- Click on the Room definition icon on the Toolbar.
- Click on the Perspective window.
- Rotate the perspective to show the ceiling and click it (for more information see article How to move around the perspective). It will now be highlighted in red.

With the surface selected, go to the catalogue browser and you will only see objects that can be added to the ceiling.

Select object W006 005 and click on Add.
- Set the parameters, click OK.
- Set the placement, click OK and the roof lantern will appear in the ceiling.
- If necessary, reposition the window with drag and drop in the Elevation view.

To view the roof lantern in the plan you will need to right-click in the plan and select Visible layers > Define profile and in the Ceiling objects row click on the show box.
Note: The size, frame and colour can be adjusted in the Objects parameters window. To reach this, double-click on the window.
