You sometimes need to split a worktop into more than one piece, for example if you want part of it a different colour or from a different supplier. This is done by inserting a joint.
- In your Alternative, click on the Worktop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
- Click on the Draw/edit shape icon.
- Click on the Insert join icon.
The mouse pointer now becomes a cutting tool. - Left-click and release the mouse where you want to start drawing the joint.
- Left-click again the hold the mouse button down whilst dragging it to create the joint.
- If you make a mistake use the select tool icon and click on the joint to select it.
- Then click the Remove join icon.
- Once you have finished, click the Switch mode icon to leave the Draw edit shape mode.
