You can change the direction of the worktop material in two ways. You can access Set material direction in worktop scheme mode, or you can alter the material direction in the worktops' Properties. For example this could be used if you wish to mirror a worktop grain.
How to set the material direction of the worktop
- In your Alternative, click on the Worktop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
- In the Worktop plan window, click to select the piece of worktop you want to alter.
- In the Menu bar, click on Worktop and select Set material direction.
- In the Select material direction window, all the edges of the worktop are listed alphabetically, and the plan shows which letter represents each edge.
- Select the edge that has the same direction of the desired grain direction and click OK.
The material grain will be rotated parallel to the selected edge.
How to manually rotate the material in Properties
- In your Alternative, click on the Worktop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
- In the Worktop plan window, click to select the piece of worktop you want to alter.
- Right-click and select Properties.
- In the Object properties window, click the Colours button.
- In Assign material to surface, select Worktop colour.
- In the Material section on the right, there are two sub-sections:
Override colour
Override size/rotation - In Override size/rotation, enter the desired degrees of rotation in the Rotation value box.
- Click OK and OK again to confirm the changes. The material grain will be rotated according to the rotation value entered.
