When you place an appliance housing Winner automatically asks you to select a code for a built in appliance. However sometimes you may not have actioned this, or you may not want to put the appliance in straight away, for example if your customer has not made a decision on which appliance to have. In both these cases you will have a housing unit with an empty niche in it. Follow the steps below to reconfigure the unit and place the appliance.
Select Furnishing mode.
Reconfigure the unit for the appliance
- Select the unit with the empty niche.
- Double-click it or Right-click the unit and select Properties at the bottom of the list.
- Select the drop-down menu for > Front surfaces on the left-hand side of the window.
- Take the unit apart from the top down:
- Left-click on any element such as Doors or Front panels that are above the empty niche.
- Click Element on the menu bar at the top of the window.
- Select Delete element.
- Repeat steps 5. to 7. until you reach the empty niche.
- Left-click on the element(s) named > Rack (this is the space/niche created for the appliance).
Note: It is easier to select the element in the preview box by clicking it, the selected element shows in red. - Click Element on the menu bar at the top of the window.
- Select Delete element.
- You can now rebuild the unit from the bottom up:
- Click Element on the menu bar at the top of the window.
- Select Insert element.
- From the top of the list select 32767 Anything (this will create a space for the appliance, which Winner will recognise). Important don't forget to enter the height of the space which would be the height of the appliance. Winner will automatically calculate what height is remaining, so if you don't specify a height it will fill the remaining space in the unit.
- Once you have entered the height, click OK to insert this element.
- Repeat steps 13 to 15 if you require more than one niche for example you may have an oven and a microwave to place.
- Continue inserting elements until you have completed the unit, for example add a door or front panel on top of the niche you have created. Doors, front pieces and many other elements can be selected from the element list.
- When you have finished rebuilding the unit click OK in the Object parameter window.
- The extra codes window may appear add codes if required if not click OK.
- The Select built in object window will now open automatically and it will state the maximum height of the appliance to be placed. This window will open more than once if you have more than one niche within which to place an appliance.
Note: in the case of more than one appliance, select a code for the bottom appliance first.
Searching for an appliance
- In the Select built in object window, choose your appliance catalogue from the Suppliers drop-down at the top.
- Find the appliance code you want to insert into the niche. Winner will automatically filter the list to fit the niche of the unit.
- Select the code and click OK to insert it.
