Sectional views are a tool to provide more elevations in the Front Elevation window for example when units are not placed on a wall such as in an island. To create a measurement for a sectional view which will show in the Plan window, take the following steps:
Add a measurement to a Sectional view
- Click the Draw/alter sectional view icon in the Toolbar
- Click the Select tool icon
- Select the Sectional view requiring measurements
- Right-click to bring up a selection of options to edit the Sectional view
- Select Create measures
- You now have the following measurement options:
Base unit measures
Measures for cabinets between base units and wall units
Wall unit measures
Measures for all cabinets - Select your measurement option.
- Click the white arrow on the toolbar to exit sectional view.
The measurement line will be placed behind the Front clipping distance (represented in the plan by a dashed blue line). You can move the measurement closer or further away from the Sectional view as required by taking the following steps:
- Click the Add free drawing measurements icon in the Toolbar
- Click the Select tool icon
- Click on the measurement and drag closer or further from the sectional view
- Once you are happy with the placement, click the white arrow on the toolbar to exit measurement mode.
Delete a measurement
- Click the Add free drawing measurements icon in the Toolbar
- Click the Select tool icon
- Select the measurement you want to delete
- Right-click and select Delete.
- When you have finished, click the white arrow on the toolbar to exit measurement mode.
