In Winner the word installations is used for switches, pipes, sockets. Sometimes you need to show the symbols in an island or in a wall with corners or a moulding. To do this you use a sectional view.
This article gives instructions on placing the sectional view and how to insert the installation object.
Placing a sectional view
- Click on the icon Room Definition mode in the top left corner:

As It is helpful to see the kitchen furniture in the plan for the next steps, right-click the mouse on the plan and select Visible layers.

Choose the option Room with installations and base units.
Note: To see other furniture apart from base units: In the Visible layers menu you have the option Define profile select this and under the Object>visibility area, you can click on the buttons units between B and W (base and wall) and/or Wall unit as required.

Draw a sectional view on the plan:

Example 1: If you have an island on the plan, draw the sectional view in the middle of it and cover its whole length:
Example 2: When you have a moulding or a wall with corners, draw the sectional view opposite the wall, close to it and cover its whole length:
- Click on the Select tool icon
then click on the sectional view line. Once selected the sectional view is active and yellow in the plan. This means that you can choose different sectional view options using the right mouse button. For more details on the options available see article Sectional views.
Insert installations on a sectional view
- When the Sectional view line is active (see point 5 above), click on the right mouse button.
- Select add installation symbol.
- Choose the installation you want and click OK.
Tip: For a quick search, the installation symbols are classified in different groups in the left area of the Select object window: electrical, plumbing equipment, gas, numbers, letters and miscellaneous.
Click the search button on the right to find the symbol you need by entering the installation type in the search box, for example rectangular hole. Winner will show you all the symbols that contain the search text in the description.

You can set the position of the object in the Select placement for object window. You can modify the different values of a parameter by clicking on its line and entering the value in the field at the bottom of the window.
- Click OK and you will see the symbol in the plan and or elevation view.
