Drawing the interior walls in either mode is the same, however the set default is different.
Room definition mode sets the interior wall by default to be defined as a Wall in the plan, so it will automatically be numbered.Furnishing mode will be set by default to be defined as a filler in the plan. This can be altered when confirming the properties for the interior wall see point 7.
-
Click on the Draw interior wall icon.
-
Click on the Draw rectangle icon.
-
Left-click and release in the Plan where you want the wall to begin. Then hold left-click and drag to set the size and length of the wall. Release the left mouse button when satisfied.
Note: For easier input of exact measurements use the single pencil drawing tool. For instructions on how to use the single pencil see article Draw an interior wall.
-
In the Interior Wall Properties window, choose the height of the wall. The Height box will automatically enter the height of the room. You can enter a simple equation in the height box by typing /2 after the height figure and it will half the number.
-
Choose any other options you require.
-
In Furnishing Mode at the top of the Interior Wall Properties window, there is a tick box Act as filler with wall material. Un-tick this if you want it to be presented in the plan as a wall, or tick the box to have it appear as filler.
