Stairways or staircases can be added to your Alternative in both Room definition mode as a Wall object and Furnishing mode as an Interior building block.
Placing Stairs as an Interior building block
This option is recommended when the stairs will be inside the room.
- Click on the Furnishing mode icon in the Tool bar.

Click on the Standard products button on the right-hand side of the screen.

In the Select object window, click on the Interior, building blocks drop-down on the left-hand side.

Click on Stairs.

Select the stairs you want and click OK.

In the Set height position window, you can select what level the stairs will be placed. Once chosen click OK.

In the Set parameters for object window, adjust the parameters as required and click OK.
- The stairs will be placed at the point of the cursor. The placement can be adjusted via the drag and drop method.
Double click on the stairs in its respective mode, if further adjustments are needed.
Placing Stairs as a Wall Object
This option contains staircases that will be going through the wall and are not in the room.

Click on the Room definition mode icon in the Tool bar.
- Select the external wall you want the stairs to be attached to.
- Either right-click and select Add object.
OR -
Click on the Add wall object to selected wall icon in the Tool bar.

In the Select object window, click on Stairs in the list on the left-hand side.

You can select stairs that go up or down. Make your selection and click OK.

In the Set parameters for object window, adjust the Width, Depth and Height as required and click OK.

In the Select placement for object window, you can specify where on the wall it will be placed. Make your adjustments and click OK. The placement can be adjusted via the drag and drop method.
Note: The size, moulding and colour can be adjusted in the Objects parameters window. To reach this, double-click on the stairs.
