From version 12.3a1 when adding a window into a design you can now choose to have the window reveal on either the inside or outside of the wall.
- In Room definition mode select the wall you are adding a window to.
- Right click and select Add object.
- From the available options select the Window that you require and click OK.
- In the Set parameters dialog select Window position and set as Inside or Outside, via the drop-down at the foot of the dialog box.
- Select Window offset and change the depth of the reveal, via the drop-down at the foot of the dialog box.
This is how it will show in the plan:
You can set a default value for window position and window offset. Follow the steps below:
- Go to Global settings in the tool bar and select System settings.
- In System settings go to the tab Measurement and select Default measurements.
- In the Room definition drop down you will see the options for Window position and Window offset.
NOTE: If you select the Default window offset as -1.00 as shown below, it will select half the thickness of the wall and show placement as the middle of the wall.
