The Assign material to surface window allows you to change the color and material of objects in your design. You can change almost all surface colors in Winner Design from walls and floors to furniture and decoration. See also Room surface decors
Accessing the Assign material to surface window
The Assign material to surface window can be accessed by clicking the Edit color settings for room and objects icon in the tool bar:
Alternatively you can press the F9 key on your keyboard.
Select the surface you want to change by left-clicking it in the list. To change the material or color of individual objects such as a table or chair, first select the object before opening the Assign material to surface window.
Changing a material
You can change the material or texture of most objects and surfaces in Winner Design.
- Select the surface or object and open the Assign material to surface window.
- Select the name of the specific surface from the list.
- Click the Select material button.
- Using the folders in Material choice window, select the material you require and click OK.
- The material will now update in the Preview list.
- Click OK to confirm all changes and return to the design.
Changing a color
You can change the color of most objects and surfaces in Winner Design. Some materials also allow you to change their color.
Tip: When changing the color of individual walls, click to highlight one wall in Room definition mode and then click the Edit color settings for room and objects icon.
- Select the surface or object and open the Assign material to surface window.
- Select the name of the specific surface from the list.
- Click the Override color Select button.
- Select the color you require from the palette. (See override color below).
- Click OK to confirm your color change.
- The color will now update in the Preview list.
- Click OK to confirm all changes and return to the design.
Override color
When choosing a color from the Override color window, you can switch tabs for alternative palettes. They include:
Catalogue - The first tab will be the main catalogue of the design you are working in. This gives you the option to choose colors that are used by the manufacturer.
Other tabs - NCS, RGB, CMYK, RAL Design System & RAL Classic.
