What is ATAK
ATAK is used by some suppliers for electronic data interchange (EDI). This is the intercompany communication of business documents in a standard format.
ATAK is a service which will allow the kitchen designer to have the current state of his kitchen design checked against a set of supplier rules. Based on the files sent, the supplier returns a result with recommendations of things to change in the Winner Design drawing. The user can manually apply the suggestions and have the drawing re-validated repeatedly by the supplier until all queries are resolved.
Note: If your supplier uses ATAK you should request the extension to be added to your account by contacting your local Support team.
Downloading, installing and setting up ATAK
Once the extension has been added and the supplier has added the kitchen dealer’s customer number to the ATAK web service you need to do the following:
Step 1
Download the extension into Winner and install it. This is done by downloading a catalogue, the extension will then download in the background. For more information on how to Download and install see article How to download catalogues and updates.
Step 2
Add your Distributor number to the supplier settings:
At Project level:
-
- Select Register > Suppliers.
- In the Registered supplier window, left-click to select the desired supplier and click Edit.
- In the Supplier information window, click the Settings tab.
- Under the Settings tab, enter the correct details into the Distributor/Debtor no. field.
Note: The Distributor/Debtor no. is the user's account number with that supplier if this is not entered the user will not be able to send files or receive validation from the supplier.
- Click OK.
- In the Registered supplier window, click OK.
- Select Register > Suppliers.
Initiating an ATAK request
It is best to initiate the request directly from inside the alternative (drawing), because the ATAK result dialogue is opened, which means that you will be able to work with Winner Design while you see the ATAK results. In this way the ATAK extension is working as a kind of checklist with issues for the user to resolve.
With the alternative (drawing) open:
- Click Alternative on the menu bar.
- Select Additional modules > ATAK > Start ATAK validation ...
- This sends files to the ATAK web service and then results will be received.
ATAK results received
The results are split-up in four categories:
- Errors
- Planning advice
- Warnings
- Checks
By each category you will see a small circle. The number inside the circle shows how many results are in that category. If the number is 0, the background colour will be green otherwise it will remain red. To see individual results for a category click on it to show them in the result list. The individual result can then be selected to read the entire information in the detail section.
The ATAK results dialogue can be kept on the screen and the user can still work with Winner Design. This allows the ATAK extension to be used as kind of an on-screen checklist. The user can go through the remarks and adapt the drawing accordingly. After adaptation(s) have been made the user can click on the button Resend to ATAK, which sends the current state of the design to ATAK and the user will get the corresponding results back to check whether the issue(s) are fixed now.
Troubleshooting
If ATAK does not work as expected please check the following:
On the menu bar, click on Additional modules > ATAK > Settings.
In the ATAK extension settings window check that the Address (URL) contains the address to the ATAK web service.
Also check that the setting is ticked to define how the ATAK results dialogue should be handled. If the checkbox Force the result form to be displayed top most is ticked, then the ATAK result dialogue will stay on top of all other dialogues and applications. If the checkbox is not ticked, it might be that the ATAK result dialogue disappears somewhere in the background between opened applications and their dialogues. The usage of this setting is depending on the way the user works.
