Importing core selections is a function in the Catalogue Maintenance Component extension, which is an administrative tool for controlling and customising catalogues used by your subsidiaries (shops).
A complete step-by-step guide to Catalogue customisation is within CMC: Catalogue Maintenence Component digital learning click here for more information.
Importing core selections can be done without using the Catalogue customisation extension, however you will only be able to import one CSV at any given time.
Core selection customisation allows you to import your own prices for codes that exist in the catalogue. The following steps will guide you through the importation process.
IMPORTANT: Before importing core selections you need to have added component 4 condition customisation and component 7 catalogue settings customisation.
Step 1 Prepare the .csv file
Important! When inputting purchase or sales prices into the spreadsheet they should be entered excluding VAT as this will be added on automatically on import.
- Create an Excel spreadsheet listing the articles and price. It should be formatted as such:
Column A = The code reference to the existing article code in the intended catalogue.
Column B = The customised purchase price.
Note: You can have a column C with a customised selling price to do this see step 5 of this article.
- Save the Excel spreadsheet as a CSV (Comma delimited) .csv file in the Save as drop-down selection.
Step 2 Select the catalogue
- At Project level, click on Additional modules in the menu bar.
- Select Catalogue customisation.
- In the Catalogue customisation window, click on the catalogue name you want to customise.

In this example:
Clicking Yes will make the price for U40-3 1.01
Clicking No will make the price for U40-3 101.00
Take your time to check this and select your option.
- Once complete, you will be asked if you want to see the log. Clicking Yes will open a notepad where you can review if all articles were imported correctly.
