When upgrading from Winner Design to Winner Flex, it is recommended to copy your Projects folder to maintain access to your Winner Design projects within Winner Flex.
This is especially crucial if you cannot access your Winner Design projects when you are not linked to the your company network.
IMPORTANT: If you are installing Winner Flex on the same PC as your Winner Design installation the mapping and access to the Winner Design Projects database will happen automatically. You should follow the steps in: Winner Flex: How to import your projects from Winner Design
Follow the steps below to take a backup of the Projects folder.
Locate the Winner folder (stored on the server or on your PC) for your Winner Design installation.
- Navigate to: Winner > DB > Projects
- Copy the folder called Projects
- Rename the folder to something like ProjectsWD.
- Navigate to the new installation Winner folder on your local drive.
- Go to Winner > DB and paste in the copied and renamed folder.
