In the Flex platform, there is an option to view all projects as a Project Board. This has been based on the Kanban method.
In the Project Board view, projects are listed by Project Status and each list gives a quick overview of the projects in each status.
Follow the steps below to view your projects as a Project Board:

- Go to the Flex platform.
In the left hand menu bar select the Projects icon - In the top right hand side click
- The Project list is now displayed as a Project Board.
- Go to the Flex platform.

Easily manage your projects
You can move a project from one status to the next by either drag and drop in the Project Board or click on the status in the sidebar.
Change the project status in the side bar:
- Select the project in the platform and click the blue arrow icon on the right of the screen this opens the sidebar where you can view the Designs.
- Click on the status displayed in the top right of the sidebar.
- Select the required status.
In the Project Board you can filter projects by:
- Salesperson
- Designer
- Contact
- An external reference
- How long a project has been in a status
Use the filter bar below the tool bar to select the options to filter by. Reset the filter by clicking the icon below to clear previous selections.
Define the workflow that fits your company
You can reconfigure the Project board by renaming the project statuses changing the order of project statuses changing the colour of project statuses This can be done in the Custom settings for Project statuses. For more information on how to do this click here.
Note: Only the administrator will have the rights to do this.
Follow up your sales forecast
You can see the value of each project individually and accumulatively by Project Status. You can add in a Budget figure for each project and this is then compared to the value of the design.
To add a budget for a project:
- Open the sidebar and go to the Details tab.
- Scroll down to the Sales Information section and enter in the Budget Value.
To add a contract date for a project:
- Open the sidebar and go to the Details tab.
- Scroll down to the Sales Information section and enter in the Expected Contract Date.
To select a project to be included in the statistics:
For projects with more than one Design you need to select which one to include in the statistics. This is usually the customer's preferred design.

- Select the project and open the sidebar on the right of the screen.
- Click on the Designs tab to list the alternatives/designs.
- Each alternative/design will have an icon next to it
Click on this icon and will change to This means the design will be included in the statistics.
NOTE: Only one design per Space can be selected.
- Select the project and open the sidebar on the right of the screen.
This information is then shown on the top of each status allowing you to view the value of projects at each stage against the budget the customer has set.
Note: If the design amount is more than the budget amount the figure will be shown in red.
Project Information
Project information that is shown in the Project Board view.
Each project lists the following information:

- The status of the project - shown at the top of the column.
- Project number
- Project name
- Customer name
- Current value of the design against the budgeted value
- Expected contract date
- Salesperson responsible
- Selected alternative name and value
- The status of the project - shown at the top of the column.
Sidebar
You can select any project in the Project Board and pull out more information in the Sidebar to the right of the screen. Here you can edit numerous parts of the project.
Under the tab Designs:
This displays the names and values of each alternative under the milieu headings. You can track the status of each design using the coloured symbols next to each alternative. These indicate the stage at which the alternative is at. For more information on this click here.
Click on at the top right to view the project history - this shows a time stamp and name against each change made in the project.
Click on at the top right to:
- open the project
- view the project details
- duplicate a design
- archive the project
- delete the project
- create a new design
