This article will guide you through how to move from a Winner Design installation to a Winner Flex installation. Winner Flex runs on a cloud based server. Once you have upgraded to Winner Flex and have had an email from the dispatch team you can download Winner Flex. If you have a Server installation of Winner Design please click here. If you have a standalone Winner installation on a C:Drive, please click here.
How to migrate from a standalone Winner Design installation to Winner Flex
For Winner Design (legacy) users follow instructions below to place Winner Flex shortcut icon on your desktop:
- Navigate to where Winner is installed, usually C:\Winner.
- Open the Winner folder, double-click the file named Lansetup and follow the instructions.
- The Winner Flex icon will now be on your desktop. You may wish to keep the Winner Design icon to enable you to use Winner when offline.
- Open Winner Flex and sign in as a named user, using your email address and password.
- Follow the steps in the Winner Flex User Guide to setup Winner Flex and migrate over the settings and indexes from Winner Design.

How to move your server installation of Winner Design to Winner Flex
If you previously had Winner Design installed on a local server it will no longer need to be installed on this server. Winner Flex will be installed on the C:Drive of your computer and not on the server. At the point of running the installation it will find the files on your server and migrate them onto the Flex platform.
Once the migration has been completed, the only database that will require manual migration is the projects database. The PC will need to be connected to the server to migrate over the projects required. Please see Winner Flex: Project migration process from offline database.
NOTE!: Ensure that there is a backup of the Winner > DB > Projects folder before disconnecting from the server. Only one user will need access and will be able to migrate projects to the Flex platform. Once migrated The projects will be accessible by all users. New projects created in Flex will be stored on the Flex platform, therefore you only need to migrate old projects that are in progress.

Sign in with your Compusoft credentials.

Click on the settings icon at the top right:
- In the left-hand column, under the Customer Portal section select Products Download.
- Select the download of Winner Design (iso).
- Click the Download button.
- Once the download is complete go to your Downloads folder and Open the file.

When you Open the file, you will see a virtual DVD drive called Winner on your PC, click on the SETUP.exe file within this.
IMPORTANT: During the installation, Windows security questions may appear. If prompted with a protection message, click More info then Run anyway.
- When you run the installer there will be a message This appears to be an upgrade from Winner Design to Winner Flex. A new installation will be made locally. It will also show the existing file path for your Winner Design installation.
- Once the installation is complete you will see a Winner Flex icon on your desktop. The Winner folder will now be stored locally on your PC, with the settings from the server.
- Follow the steps in the Winner Flex User Guide to setup Winner Flex and migrate over the settings and indexes from Winner Design.
