This procedure is used if you want to define cabinet veneering automatically.
NOTE! This function is dependent on the catalogue and will only work for catalogues that are modified for automatic veneering.
At Alternative level:
- Set up visible sides, if not already done at the start of the alternative:
Press F7 on the keyboard or click the menu option Alternative > Settings.
Click Change model and select your visible side finish and colour.
Click OK then OK again to confirm. - Click the menu option Alternative > Run automatic detection of visible sides.
The following dialogue box appears: - In this dialogue, you can control which visible sides of the cabinets should be automatically veneered: Left/right sides of the cabinet, Bottom of the cabinet, Top of the cabinet (see table below for details).
- Click OK to save the settings and start the procedure.
Fields in the Automatic veneering window
Field | Description |
Confirm veneering and codes for each cabinet | Tick this field to manually confirm the veneering and code for each cabinet. |
At the right or left side of the cabinet |
Control which side of the cabinet should be veneered by setting the minimal free distance to a wall or another object. |
Remove manually set veneering value and codes |
Tick this check box to remove any manual settings for veneering of the left/right sides of cabinets. |
At the bottom of the cabinet |
Control if the bottom of a cabinet is to be veneered. |
Off |
When this is selected, no veneering at the bottom will be added for any cabinet. |
For units with visible surface at the bottom |
Select this option to veneer the bottom of the cabinets. |
For units with visible surface at the bottom above the specified height |
Veneering will be added to the bottom of any cabinet above the Minimum bottom height. |
Minimum bottom height |
Specifies the height above which the cabinet bottoms will be veneered. |
Remove manually set veneering and codes |
Tick this check box to remove any manual settings for veneering at the bottom of the cabinets. |
At the top of the cabinet |
Controls if the top of a cabinet should be veneered. |
Off |
When this is selected, no veneering at the top will be added for any cabinet. |
For units where the visible surface at the top is below the top unit height |
With this selected, any cabinet top that is below top unit height is veneered (those at the same height as the top unit height are not veneered). |
For units with visible surface at the top below the specified height |
When this is selected, any cabinet top that is below the Maximum top height is veneered. |
Maximum top height |
Specifies the height below which the cabinet tops will be veneered. |
Remove manually set veneering and codes | Tick this check box to remove any manual settings for veneering of the top of the cabinets. |
