If the customer does not know the angle between two walls, they often take three measurements, as shown in the picture below:
A = 4600
B = 2800
C = 5972
a = the angle value to calculate
The Calculate the angle based on lengths tool will calculate the angle for 'a' as you begin to draw your room. Take the following steps:
- Draw the two walls that you want to calculate the angle between, with the correct measurements.
- Click the Select tool icon in the tool bar
- Click the last wall to highlight it
- Right-click and select Wall properties...
The angle is currently at 90.0. - Click on the more options button to the right of the Angle section.
- In the Calculate the angle based on lengths window, enter the values for A, B and C and click OK.
- In the Wall Properties window, the Angle will be updated:
- Click OK. The wall will now be adjusted to the new angle and you can continue to draw your room.
