Users can transfer their existing Winner Design installation to a new PC. First users must copy their Winner installation from their existing PC and then transfer the Winner files to their new PC.
Note! Users who are unsure about attempting to transfer their Winner Design installation to a new PC should contact their IT service support provider.
Note!: Winner Flex users do not need to copy the Winner folder as all projects and settings are stored in the Flex platform. For more information, see What is the difference between Winner Flex and Winner Design?
Copying Winner from an old PC
- Users should ensure they have an external hard drive or a USB flash drive with enough capacity to store the Winner folder currently on their old PC.
Note: To check the size of the Winner folder, right-click and select Properties. In the General tab, look at the Size and Size on disk of the folder. - Users should ensure they have contacted the support team and requested a replacement validation code for their license.

- Open Windows File Explorer and locate the Winner folder.
Note: By default this is on the C:\ drive. But if Winner Design was installed on a different drive, then the Winner folder will be located there. Users who are unsure should contact the IT support service provider. - Right-click on the Winner folder and select Copy.
- Navigate to the connected USB flash drive or external hard drive.
Note: Go to This PC and look under Devices and drives. - Right-click and select Paste.
Note: This process can take some time due to the size of the Winner folder files. - Once completed, safely eject the USB flash drive or external hard drive.
Note: Go to This PC and look under Devices and drives. Right-click the connected USB flash drive or external hard drive and select Eject.
Transferring Winner to a new PC
- Connect the USB flash drive or external hard drive to the user's new PC.
- Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to the connected USB flash drive or external hard drive.
Note: Go to This PC and look under Devices and drives. - Right-click the Winner folder and select Copy.
- Navigate to the location where Winner Design will be installed.
Note: For example, the C:\ drive. - Right-click and select Paste.
Note: This process can take some time due to the size of the Winner folder files. - Once the process is complete, open the Winner folder.
- Double-click on the Lansetup.exe file.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to install Winner Design on the user's new PC.
- Once the installation is complete, double-click the Winner Design shortcut on the user's desktop to start Winner Design.
- When prompted, enter the validation code you have received from our Support team.
