Sometimes there is a need to make part of an object invisible for example you may want to keep/show a picture but make the frame invisible.
Follow the instructions below to achieve this:
- Select the item you wish to assign the invisible material to.
- Right-click and select Properties
- In the Object parameters screen click the Colors button at the top.
- Select the part that you want to make invisible, from the list on the left of the Assign material to surface window.
- Delete the code in the ID: box at the top right hand corner of the window and replace it with the code 3003.
- Click OK and OK again.
The object will continue to show on the plan but, the part you have assigned the code 3003 to, will not be seen in the elevation, perspective or renders.
