On most floor or base units, countertops are added by default. At this stage these countertops are not coded, this is why the countertop is not priced automatically or added to the quotation.
The Automatic assignment settings window is a part of the Do automatic code assignment tool. It assigns catalogue countertop codes to your plan automatically.
The menu option will only be available if the catalogue being used is adapted for this automatic assignment of codes on the countertops.
Countertop Scheme: Auto Assignment Settings
- In your Alternative, select the Countertop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar:
- Start the menu option Countertop > Do automatic cutting.
- When you are finished with the countertop cutting, you can start the menu option Countertop > Do automatic code assignment.
The Automatic assignment settings window makes it possible for you to decide if you would like the rear cuts and/or the interior cuts to be done when installing the countertop or if it should be done by the countertop manufacturer.
There is a possibility of three options:
-
Rear cuts should be done on site
If this field is turned ON, the cuts in the back edge of the countertop should be done when installing the countertop. -
Interior cuts should be done on site
If this field is turned ON, the cutouts for sinks, cooker tops etc. should be done when installing the countertop. -
Rear depth cuts should be done on site
This field will only be available if you use a countertop catalogue that is adapted for this function. This is used if you for instance have a countertop with depth = 600mm, and you want to change this to 580mm.
NOTE! If you use "flush mounted" sinks or cooker tops, the cuts have to be done by the countertop manufacturer, so if you for instance have chosen to place a sink "flush mounted" the selection in this dialogue will be overridden.
Usually the cutouts are done on site (for example when installing the interior), because then you have the possibility to correct small defects (like for instance misalignments, uneven walls), but if you have ordered a countertop in a stone material, it is not possible to do the cutouts on site, and you then have to make sure the cutout measurements are precise.
When you start the code assignment, Winner will assign codes to the countertops and it will also add codes for the different edging and cuts.
Example:
- If you change model, the codes will automatically be updated.
- Countertop sizes that are not recognized will not have codes and prices assigned to them.
- If you highlight a code in the quotation window that is assigned for cut or edge treatment, Winner will automatically highlight the relevant cut/edge in the Countertop window.
NOTE! If you are using a catalogue that is adapted for automatic code assignment and the countertops are not assigned any codes, the reason could be that the countertop is too long. In this case additional codes for the edges will not be assigned.
