Split/cut, adjust and connect countertops

Even though Winner automatically generates worktops on kitchen units, this might not fit to the planned design. The instructions below will show you how to split or cut, connect two worktops, or adjust the size (by using freehand or parallel shift). It is also the possible to Manually draw a round / oval worktop or How to round or arc a worktop corner. 

Make a cut in a Worktop

1. Click on the Worktop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
   
    

   
   
    

2. Click on the Draw/edit shape icon in the Toolbar.
   
    

   
   
    

3. Icons will have now appeared to the right of the Draw/edit shape icon in the Toolbar.  Click on the Insert join icon.
    

   
   
    

4. In the Worktop plan window, your cursor will be displayed as a saw. Click on the edge of the worktop where you want to start the cut, release then click again and drag the mouse to the opposite worktop edge where you want the cut to end. Release the mouse button to make the cut.
   
   
   
   
   The cut can be at any angle but has to be a straight line from one edge to another edge.
   
    
5. If required, in the Joint type window, select the Joint type and click OK.

Adjusting a Worktop freehand

1. In Worktop scheme mode, click on the edge to adjust in the Worktop plan window, so it is highlighted.
   
    
2. At the centre of the highlighted line, there is a square point, hover over this until you see a double headed arrow.  Click and hold the mouse button on the double headed arrow and drag to increase or decrease the worktop size.  
   Note: Holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard, whilst dragging, moves the line in smaller amounts.
   
    
3. Release the mouse button when at the desired size.

Adjusting a worktop using the parallel shift function

1. In Worktop scheme mode:

   1. Click on the Draw/edit shape icon in the Toolbar.
      
       

      

    

2. Click on the edge you want to adjust in the Worktop plan.
   
    
3. Click on the Parallel shift icon in the Toolbar, or right-click and select Parallel shift.
   
   
   
   
4. In the Parallel shift line window, enter the measurement value the edge should be moved by.  
   A positive value will increase the size (move outwards for a larger worktop), and a negative will decrease the size (move inwards for a smaller worktop).
   
    
5. Click OK to confirm.

Connecting two worktops

1. Adjust one edge of one worktop so that it overlaps with the edge of the second worktop.
   
   
2. Click on the connecting line (now highlighted in red) and press Delete on your keyboard.
   
   
   The highlighted line disappears and the two worktops are now connected as one piece.
