You can change the direction of the countertop material in two ways. You can access Set material direction in countertop scheme mode, or you can alter the material direction in the countertops' Properties. For example this could be used if you wish to mirror a countertop grain.
How to set the material direction of the countertop
- In your Alternative, click on the Countertop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
- In the Countertop plan window, click to select the piece of countertop you want to alter.
- In the Menu bar, click on Countertop and select Set material direction.
- In the Select material direction window, all the edges of the countertop are listed alphabetically, and the plan shows which letter represents each edge.
- Select the edge that has the same direction of the desired grain direction and click OK.
The material grain will be rotated parallel to the selected edge.
How to manually rotate the material in Properties
- In your Alternative, click on the Countertop scheme mode icon in the Toolbar.
- In the Countertop plan window, click to select the piece of countertop you want to alter.
- Right-click and select Properties.
- In the Object properties window, click the Colors button.
- In Assign material to surface, select Countertop color.
- In the Material section on the right, there are two sub-sections:
Override color
Override size/rotation - In Override size/rotation, enter the desired degrees of rotation in the Rotation value box.
- Click OK and OK again to confirm the changes. The material grain will be rotated according to the rotation value entered.
