Due to fast changing supplier prices Winner can show two active versions of a catalogue at the same time.
For example, a supplier sets a valid from and to date on different versions of a catalogue, each version has a different price set, Winner will now show both versions of the catalogue. The purpose of this is to enable you to use the catalogue before it is valid for example because there is a delay from quote to contract/sale; therefore 2 active versions are required. This feature only comes into operation when you have a catalogue loaded with valid from and to dates.
- If you use the earlier version a message will inform you of when it expires and ask for confirmation to use it.
- In the registered catalogues list Winner will show only the catalogue name in red and the rest of the line in black if the catalogue is not valid yet.
- Before making a sales contract Winner checks which catalogue is valid and notifies you. You can then decide whether to use the version that you designed in or change catalogue.
- When you open a design it will be suggested that you change the catalogue if it is 37 days prior to or after the next catalogue becomes valid. 37 is calculated based on the Project defaults Quotation valid number of days in this case 30+7 buffer days (the buffer is not user configurable).
Note: this figure may be different if you have amended the Quotation valid for in Project defaults.
