In Winner, users can add a surcharge to groups of products in manufacturers' catalogues, by editing the cost price of manufacturer's products. This is a useful function to allow users to adapt to changes in the market and to act as a stopgap, in the time between catalogue updates, when manufacturer's prices may have suddenly changed.
NOTE! This guide covers altering the cost price of products for new projects, if you wish to add a surcharge to products in an existing project see Save updated index settings for a project.
NOTE! Changes to the cost index of a catalogue will only affect the user's Winner installation, unless:
- The user uses a Catalogue Maintenance Component (CMC), in which case only the CMC administrator has the required permission to alter the catalogue cost index.
- The user's Winner is part of a network installation (Winner Design).
