The Default Model feature will allow you to save your model set ups for catalogues and quickly be able to re-use your favourite settings. Once you have saved some favourites you can set a default model combination which is pre-loaded for each new plan.
This is a useful tool if your catalogue has a wide range of options and if you have different target groups such as premium ranges or more budget friendly ranges.
To create your favourites
- Access the Select model screen which opens automatically) when starting a new alternative.
- Select your model preferences.
- Click the Defaults drop-down button in the bottom right and select Select/Edit. You will be taken to the Catalogue template window.
- Click Save as to save the Model settings you currently have and name your new model template, click OK. You can then click Set As Default if you wish this model selection to always appear as your first choice for this catalogue.
- Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you have created all your favourites.
Click OK again to close the catalogue template window.
To change your favourite models
- In the Select model window select the options you wish to change, for example colour and click on Defaults drop-down button in the bottom right and select Select/Edit. You will be taken to the Catalogue template window.
- Select your existing template and click Save/Overwrite then OK. Your template will automatically be updated using data from the Select model screen.
To Pick from the list of favourites
- In the Select model window, click the Defaults drop-down button in the bottom right and select Select/Edit. You will be taken to the Catalogue template window.
- You will see a preview list of your favourites select the one you require and click OK.
To change the model (after planning) to a different favourite
- Click on Alternative > Settings or press F7 on your keyboard.
- Click on Change model button at the top of the window.
- This takes you to the Select model window.
- Click the Defaults drop-down button in the bottom right and select Select/Edit. You will be taken to the Catalogue template window.
- You will see a preview list of your favourites select the one you wish to change to and click OK.
