In Winner, item lines that are automatically calculated in the quotation will have an asterisk ( * ) prefix.
The position number for automatically calculated item lines is typically high, but this does not relate to the position of these items in the plan. Examples of items that are automatically calculated are objects such as Handles on the cabinets, or Edges on plinths.
Users can edit automatically calculated item lines in the Quotation. Users can also turn off automatic calculation, which will allow them to manually define information for these objects in the quotation, for example quantity.
How to edit automatically calculated item lines
At Alternative level:
- Click the Calculator icon:
- In the Quotation window, select the automatically calculated item line.
Note: These are prefixed by an asterisk ( * ). - In the bottom left corner of the window, click Edit.
- In the Product type section users can select from Standard, Customised and Text.
- Standard – Users can adjust the Item group, Model, apply a Discount% and modify the VAT%.
- Customised – Users can adjust the same fields as for the Standard product type above and additionally, the Unit reference and Price.
- Text – Users can adjust the description.
Note: Users can also adjust the description by unticking the Overridden description box, located below the description field.
- To confirm the changes, under This item, click Apply.
Note! Users will be unable to alter the Quantity of an automatically calculated item, unless they have disabled automatic calculation of quotation information for that object.
How to disable automatic calculation of quotation information
At Alternative level:
- Select Alternative > Automatic calculation of quotation information.
- Untick the item, or items, you do not wish to be automatically calculated.
