Winner will always calculate units in a clockwise direction starting with the unit with the largest space between it and the next unit. This is seen as the start as it is the furthest from the last unit.
As you can see below the unit on wall 1 is seen as unit 1 it has the largest gap in a clockwise direction.
If unit 3 is then moved to wall 4 as below it will become unit number 1 as this is now the unit with the largest gap in a clockwise direction.
You can set in Winner whether to calculate the position numbers
Autocalculate position number tool
By default your units will be set to Autocalculate position number. This tool calculates the position number from the placement clockwise wall-by-wall or layer-by-layer.
You can change the method wall-by-wall or layer-by-layer in the following steps:
- Click on Global settings in the Menu bar.
- Select System settings
- In the System settings window, click on the Measurement tab
- In the Codes/position number section, make your selection in the Method for automatic position numbering box.
You can change the automatic positioning of an individual unit by right-clicking on the unit and selecting Autocalculate postion number.
