Placing decorations on a cabinet or in an open unit can add to the realism of your plan and make your design more welcoming. This article details placing a Standard products decoration using either Centre Object or the Front Elevation window, depending on requirements.
Note: Automatic height placement can speed up this process as long as placement is on top of the unit. See article Automatic height placement of objects for more information.
Using Centre Object to place a decoration
- Select the unit you want the decoration to be placed over.
- Select your object in Standard products.
- Click the Centre Object box on the right side of the window.
- Select height position On worktop, (Up).
- Click OK.
- Click and hold on the object and drag with your mouse to adjust the position on the worktop.
- To rotate, right-click and select rotate, or select the rotate icon in the Tool bar. Click and hold the rotation arrows while dragging your mouse to adjust the object. For more information see article How to rotate an item freely or by an exact angle
Using Front Elevation to place a decoration
You may want to place a decoration inside a shelf unit for added realism. In this case, automatic height placement will not work as Winner will automatically place the item on top of the unit. In these instances, you can use the front elevation window to assist placement.
- Select the object that was placed on the worktop.
- Left-click and hold to drag the object.
Placed in the shelf unit, the object appears to be floating in the Perspective window.
- Right-Click on your object and select Décor Object.
The decorative object will now be visible in Front Elevation. Ensure your cursor is placed where you can view your units in Front Elevation. - In the Front Elevation window, Left-click and drag to change height and place on the shelf.
- Use the Perspective window to check your placement.
