The automatic positioning method works by the placement of your articles wall-by-wall. Your unit could be too far from the wall to be placed in the numbering you require. See below for more details.
Automatic positioning on the wall
The unit selected is currently placed as number '3'. The Automatic positioning number tool is working as intended:
The following can occur if the unit is adjusted. For example - the depth is reduced and filler is placed behind:
The same unit selected is now placed as number '5'. As the numbering method runs along the wall, any objects not close to the wall come afterwards in the numbering.
This can be corrected by changing the measurement of objects close to wall to your own preference:
Measure all objects closer to wall
-
Click on Global settings in the Menu bar.
-
Select System settings.
-
Click the Measurement tab.
-
In the Plan and elevation window section, change the value in the box for *Measure all objects closer to wall than: this will be 0.0mm by default.
In the example above, change this to 200mm.
-
Click OK.
The selected unit has now automatically corrected in number placement.
If they are still in a mixed order, try changing the value again.
