In Winner, users can move objects in an Alternative with the mouse cursor whilst in Furnishing mode. Whilst moving an object, users will be able to see the object reference point and use the snapping function.
To move an object with the mouse cursor in the Plan view:
- Left-click and hold an object.
Note: Selected objects will be highlighted in red. - Drag and drop to the desired location.
Object reference point
Users will notice a small circle icon in the corner of the selected object being moved, closest to where the user left-clicked. This circle is the object reference point. The object reference point provides a measurement to the nearest wall. It is also the point at which the object will snap to another surface.
Note: If the object is circular or ovular, or if the user clicked the centre of a rectangular object, the object reference point will be at the centre.
Object snapping point
Moving the object reference point into contact with a wall, the corner of a square object, or the centre of a circular or ovular object will cause the circle icon to change to a circular crosshair or a square crosshair. These crosshairs are the object snapping point. Releasing the mouse here will cause the object reference point to adhere to the object snapping point.
Note: The movement of objects in the elevation view functions the same way.
