The photorealistic settings accessed in the Perspective window can greatly change the mood of your plan when rendered. One of these settings is the Sun's position. Consider the following steps when changing the look of your render.
In the Alternative,
- Right-click in the Perspective window.
- Go to Perspective and select The sun's position.
Note: In the minimised plan in the Change the sun's position window, the circle represents the sun and the line represents the sun's direction. The two sliders adjust the direction and height of the sun. - Left-click and hold on the circle to drag and adjust where the sun will hit in your room.
- Use the two sliders to adjust the direction and height.
Note: Placing the sun at full height will create a daytime effect. If placed low, it will have a night-time effect.
Note: Try to ensure the direction line runs through a window or door in the plan to create visible sunbeams.
For example, lowering the height of the sun can simulate afternoon light or a sunset, and positioning the direction to pass through a window in your plan will show the shadows of the window's blinds:
