In Winner, the cursor is where the user is in the room. When a user places an object, it will be placed where the cursor is positioned. After a user has completed their room layout in Room Definition mode, the cursor will not be able to move outside of the room layout in the Plan window.
Users can move the cursor with the following keyboard keys:
- Up and Down arrow keys
- Left and Right arrow keys
- Page Up and Page Down keys

Note: Also see the Shift and Ctrl keys, as they alter the function of several of the keys above.
Up and Down arrow keys
Up key moves the cursor 100mm forwards.
Down key moves the cursor 100mm backwards.
Left and Right arrow keys
Left key rotates to the left (anti-clockwise) by 45°.
Right key rotates to the right (clockwise) by 45°.
Page Up and Page Down keys
Page Up moves the cursor forwards to the nearest element.
Page Down moves the cursor backwards to the nearest element.
Home and End keys
Home moves the cursor forwards to the nearest wall.
End moves the cursor backwards to the nearest wall.
Shift and Ctrl
The Shift and Ctrl keys will change the action of the keyboard keys mentioned above.
This is done by holding down the Shift or Ctrl key while pressing another of the following keys:
Shift+Up and Shift+Down
Hold down the Shift key and press the Up key to move the Cursor forwards 50mm.
Hold down the Shift key and press the Down key to move the Cursor backwards 50mm.
Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End
Hold down the Ctrl key and press the Home key to move the cursor clockwise past the next corner.
Hold down the Ctrl key and press the End key to move the cursor anti-clockwise past the previous corner.
Ctrl+L and Ctrl+R
Select an object, then hold down the Ctrl key and press the L key to move the Cursor to the Left side of the selected object.
Select an object, then hold down the Ctrl key and press the R key to move the Cursor to the Right side of the selected object.
